Skin. Care.

I think I'm the beauty industry's worst nightmare. I will not buy any beauty/skincare  products based on advertising because most campaigns don't use women with my skin colour or tone or skin problems. You might remember me going on about how my skin was a bit shit lately (read since late puberty, which struck at 18.) So with this in mind it's no surprise that when Sade over at In My Sunday Best posted a beauty update that featured these two Neutrogena products and her satisfaction with their cleaning, blackhead elimination and pore minimising capabilities I went out and snapped them up! Today was only day two and let me just say that so far so good! The grapefruit wash is to die for! It smells so amazing that I feel the smell is going to waste because I don't have a boyfriend to sniff my face at regular intervals.
I bought the Rooibos moisturiser for my sister to pair up with her Rooibos scrub/wash/mask. This product has also taken well to her sensitive skin. So all in all the Cele sisters are a happy bunch.

Speaking of self-care... Follow me on Pinterest.

  1. hahaha Noms you beat me to my skin care post, and I will oblige and let you have it. I have been using the Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit range for many months now and you are right when you say the face wash smells to die for. I pair these two with a moisturiser that also keeps my skin fresh and moist. I hope it really solves your skin problems, it has done wonders for my pimples too. Well except when I am pmsing and they are bound to come.

  2. Thank you for reading, Sindie! And you better be kidding about canceling that skin care post you have planned. This wasn't much, just a novice saying "ooooh! Look what I got." We need all the tips, advice and dare I say word-of-mouth we can get? We meaning I. So go on and craft that post. Aside from vaseline I don't trust any other moisturiser cos they all have made me sweaty and greasy. NEED.

  3. I will just have to do it differently I guess then (:
Just try their moisturiser one day, it might surprise you. It did me.
I am not a make up person, so I need the best care for my skin so that I dont look greasy.
One thing you can try is to not wipe your face with tissue when it becomes oily during the day. there are those triangular sponges they usually sell at Clicks. Use them to wipe your face, they absorb the oil and give you a supple look until you need another wipe. luckily you can wash those sponges, so when you realise that yours has been used up, just give it a wash and youre set to go.

  4. Jeez that grapefruit scrub has a cult following! I like the extra sensitive wash it is comforting in its creaminess!
